Baltimore, MD (ChristianPR Group) - Walk through African American history with two girls as they face rough challenges and overcome cruel conditions. Rejoice with them as they spiritually transcend the woes that beset them. There are no miracles in the story of The Fulani Girls, only faith, determination, and God's grace.

Anniya and her sister are boating near their home in 18th century Africa when captured by slave traders, forced onto a ship, and taken across the Atlantic Ocean to New York, where they become separated. Anniya vows that she will find her younger sister, and be reunited.

The Fulani girl was introduced in Pagan's first novel, More Than A Slave: The Life of Katherine Ferguson, published by Moody. It ranked as a finalist in the 2004 Atlanta Daily World Choice Awards. Now her full story, and the story of her sister, is told in Pagan's most recent work of historical fiction, aptly titled The Fulani Girls.
